A Day in the Life of the Paparazzi!
Tara Reid, This Blog’s for You!
I had special guests with me today. My twin brothers are here for the weekend and they wanted to see what I do for a living. They are both 14 with only 18 minutes difference. Since I had my young bros, I knew that I wasn’t going to chase anyone. I needed to be a little careful since it is not only my life on the line but theirs too. So this time I decided to go to the local hangout where celebs go when they want a “little” publicity. My first stop was The Ivy on Robertson Blvd. Sure enough without a hitch, 20 or more paps where surrounding the area near the entrance of The Ivy. I knew it was somebody big since there were more than the usual 10. We went to find parking; I actually had a hard time finding street parking! I had time as I knew the celeb was going to be eating there for another 35 minutes or so. We finally parked three blocks away. I guess the extra paparazzi take up a lot of room on the street.
We started to walk to The Ivy and I see paparazzi trickling in little-by-little from other streets. By the time I got there, there were about 30 paparazzi. Even the tourists had cameras. Lindsay Lohan was eating there again with her toy-man, Harry Morton. She must really hate the paparazzi?! She likes to see us all trample on each other attempting to get a shot. The only thing that I worried about were the little girls with their cell phone cameras. There were so many fans!!
Because of all the paparazzi shooting with flash, I decided to run to the car to get my flash. Since I was not going to run three blocks with my cameras and with my bros, I decided to make both of them wait and I gave one of them my camera to hold. When I came back I was out of breath and I found out from one of my bros that a celeb had just stepped into The Ivy. I asked them, “How do you know?” “Because everyone started shooting,” one of my bros responded. “What did you guys do?” I asked them. “I was shooting,” one of them responded. Then the other one says, “I was trying to call you.” I laughed so hard.
I wish I was there to shoot them shooting the celeb. I asked them, “Did you get an adrenaline rush?” Both responded, “Yeah!” I tell my bros to hangout at the corner of The Ivy so that they can get a birdseye view of the chaos. I told them that it was unexplainable.

Harry Morton comes out first. He practically ran out of The Ivy. I barely had time for a few shots. I had the other guy’s lens in the way. Note that he ain’t shooting! Harry really caught us by surprise. Even the little girl with the pink phone was caught by surprise.

Then we can see that her car is getting moved to the back of The Ivy by one of the valet parkers. All of a sudden all the paparazzi start running to follow the car. After a few minutes, her car gets moved again to the front and there we go again…all the paparazzi to the front. It almost felt like Lindsay was playing “Lindsay Says” (kind of like Simon Says).

Then she finally came out.

After Lindsay, the Pap Alert goes off. “Hello!” I responded. “What are you doing?” The Ninja asks! “Nothing,” I said. “Come to Cafe Med, there are some paps here, but I cannot ID what they are working on.” “I will be there soon,” I responded. My bros and I were already close to Cafe Med. When we got there, The Ninja told me that he had a positive ID. It was Tara Reid. She was having lunch with a group of friends.

I parked my car. I get the long lens and give it to one of my bros. I told him not to drop it.
We later walked across the street from Cafe Med. I get the long lens from my bro and snapped a couple. Later on I was thinking to myself, “these other paps must have been here for a long time. They must have gotten some great shots, and Tara looks like a cool chick.” What the heck! I crossed the street and I asked Tara and her friends if I could take a few shots of them. She says to me, “We need to ask my friends?” One of her friends responds, “It will be an honor and a pleasure to take a picture with this beauty.” “Ok then, I guess we are posing,” Tara responds.

She then says, “So long as I get some of the shots. ” I gave them my web blog. Tara, I have a download specially for you. This is because you were very down-to-earth and because you were cool with me. Tara and friends, thanks for the shots. (Tara and friends, I deleted the link to the pictures I promised you since they’ve been posted for a few days now. If you have not downloaded them and still want copies, please e-mail me using the links on this blog. To prove that it’s actually you, please state something that happened while I took the pictures and I will then send you the copies. Thanks again.)

Then I thanked Tara, shook her hand and said thanks. Little did I know that my little bro was across the street paping me.
He took a picture of me shaking hands with Tara Reid.

He actually did very good. The shots were in focus and good composition. I guess he could be the next great paparazzi.
