Out of Sight Media | A Day in the Life of the Paparazzi!

It was almost closing time and my spidey senses where telling me that they were going to come out the front entrance since they want the most publicity. Ashlee probably got the call from her father, Joe Simpson, that she needs to come out the front.

Soon, the tallest security guard moved from his post and starts to get in front of our line of sight. I guess this was the hint that Ashlee Simpson and her rumored boyfriend, Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy, were coming out.

Soon after that, Ashlee Simpson comes out hiding behind a tall female friend and shortly behind her was Pete Wentz. It was the weirdest vibe I have ever felt.

They definitely did not look good together. It was really a horror story.

She went directly to her car… or should I say his car… I don’t know? He was driving.

I was hanging out at Hyde Lounge waiting for the big story of the night to come out – Ashlee Simpson with rumored boyfriend Pete Wentz.

Then all of a sudden, surrounded by some friends, Elisha Cuthbert came out. She came out so fast that some of the paparazzi didn’t even know it was her. I think one of the autograph collectors and I realized that it was her.

She is so small… Ok… She is about my height and I am small compared to most people in Hollywood. Wait… Wait… I am taller than she is… I got one inch on her. Yeah! To continue my thought… she is so small I can see how people can miss her and also mistake her for someone else. Luckily I have her image burned into my celeb archive.

Well, she was really cool this time. Last time I got her at Area, she had an attitude. Today, she was really nice. She gave us all the shots.

I was checking out my route when I saw a few photographers at Ken Paves’ Salon. I quickly looked at all the cars there and sure enough, party-girl Lindsay Lohan was at the salon.

I didn’t want to stop there until I finished checking out my Robertson Blvd. route. Unfortunately, I didn’t spot anyone else. I went all the way down past the Ivy restaurant and I made a U-turn at the Unocal 76 gas station. I decided to go back for Lindsay.

I found parking right away; not many paparazzi were present. The waiting began. I was having a deja-vu moment since I was there just a few days ago. She really likes to get her hair done.

After two hours of waiting she finally came out. I was able to get a few shots of her, but since it was a slow day, I decided to follow. She took us way up into the Hollywood Hills and parked herself next to this house. She got out of her car and we lit her up. It was starting to get a little dark; I wonder were she went after that. I took off since I knew I was going to be working that night and that I had a good chance of finding her again.

I wonder what would happen to Paris Hilton if all of a sudden no photographer took her picture? What do you guys think she would do? I think that she would have a mental breakdown.

I took pictures of my mystery girl (our very first “Can you Guess Who Post?” below) when all of a sudden Paris came out behind her. Paris was wearing a baseball hat, some FMBs, a really expensive watch, and her cell phone attached to her ear (her typical “pose”). Now, what do you guys think about Paris’ unlimited minutes plan? I wonder if she belongs to the “We never stop working for you?” network? She does burn minutes. I wonder what kind of battery that phone has?

Paris walked in front of our mystery girl and said to her, “Bye gorgeous?” Paris gave her a hug and a kiss and off she went; this way, then that way, pretending to look for her car. I think she did that intentionally so that she could guarantee that every photographer there took pictures of her.

Hah! I like Paris! She makes this business very fun.

Kristin Cavallari looked sexy in her red dress outside of Area nightclub last night. I actually almost missed her since Travis Barker and her came out at the same time from two different doors. I was taking care of Travis when I spotted her talking away to a fellow videographer.

Just after I finished Travis and put him in his car, I ran after Kristin. She tried to get into this limo. Fortunately for me, the doors to the limo were closed, and also, it wasn’t her limo. As she wondered why her limo door would not open, she made a phone call only to find out that her limo was parked a few limos ahead. I guess you can get confused with all the limos parked waiting for their parties.

She walked towards my direction and I got my money shot. A perfect fashion shot of Kristin. Can someone remind me again why she is famous?

She got into her limo and off they went.

Ok… This is not a big story, but I just wanted to post him so that I could have him under my categories section for when people complain that I don’t have enough variety in my site.

I found Gopher Grace, I mean Topher Grace a little late. He already got past a few check points and was already in the doorway to the club. I only got three shots of him.

But before I go on, what a horrible name is Topher. I can’t even imagine how hard his childhood must have been with a name like that. Do you guys like his name?

Wow! I like to believe that I am normal even though I was picked on by bullies because I was smarter than they were. Luckily I had a normal name. Poor Topher Grace; I can see why he can act shy really well. By the way, I do like his acting. What can you tell me about that? Don’t forget to leave some comments!

I went to Area nightclub last night because I heard through the wire that Leonardo DiCaprio was there. Sure enough, when I got there I noticed his car parked outside in front of the club. So, I found parking nearby and I got all of my equipment ready for the night shoot. So that you guys don’t get your hopes up, I didn’t get him.

But I did take a picture of … Can you guess her name? I will tell you guys on Monday. I will give you a few hints though. OK.. so I was on one side of the club waiting for Leo to come out. By this time, they had moved his car to the back. Then, on the other side of the club, the bulbs started flashing. A few paps took pictures of our mystery girl. I noticed that she was walking in my direction, so I just waited for her to get to me.

Once she got close enough, I flashed her a few times. She loved the attention from the photographers. Then she went to the back of the club next to Leo’s car. At first I got the impression that she was going to go into the car, but she didn’t. Then Paris Hilton came out and stole her attention. I had no choice but to change my gears and go after Paris. Leo then made it more difficult for any pap to get any shot. He made the security drive his car even further back, they moved some black backdrops, and then they snuck him into his car where he laid down on the floor to ensure no pictures were taken of him. Getting a picture of Leo is harder then getting the first picture of Angelina Jolie with the baby. I really don’t know why he makes it so difficult. If he just gave up the shot, he would not have paparazzi door-stepping his house. When will he ever learn?

Anyway, our mystery girl came out in a few movies such as “S.W.A.T.”, “Into the Blue”, and “”Jericho”. Can you guess who she is?

Today I was in the middle of a meeting and all of a sudden one of my business partners spotted David Hasselhoff walking past the coffee shop where we were at. We talked about who was going to hose the Hoff and off we went.

I went to my car and I got the long lens. From my car, I started to look for him and I spotted David at the local movie rental store chatting with the clerk.

Then I could just make him out through the door and I took a couple of shots. I am certain that no one spotted me. I was completely covert by hiding behind the door of my car.

Then Finally David comes out of the store and goes to his waiting car. I wish I would have found him with a lady friend. That would have made this story a little juicier.

I was waiting on Heidi Klum to come out of… Huh! I forgot to look at the location name. I know it had something to do with photo and lab. Well, in either case, she was there and an assistant arrived to pick up some of her gifts. There was a card on one of them from Jeremy Piven, but I couldn’t see the rest.

Another assistant came out and he said that he was going to move her car. I thought this was a good sign because it meant that she would be coming out. I actually got to the gangbang kind of late. I think I was the last one to show, and I was happy that I was for the first time since some of the paps that were there had been waiting for about three hours. I wonder what she was doing in there?!

Soon after, she came out. I was in the front and I was able to get some nice shots of her. I think that we gave her plenty of space considering it was a gangbang. She looked really happy. She was glowing.

One paparazzo asked her to confirm that she had one month to go. She never answered that question. She kept on smiling and got into her car. No one followed her since Lindsay was right around the corner waiting for everyone at the Ken Paves Salon.

I was lucky today. I was pulling into the alley of Fred Segal since it was on my route as the next place to check out. As I was slowly driving in, I noticed three paparazzos ready to execute commando mode. They were waiting for the celeb to get out of their car. I turned on my cameras and I unbuckled my seatbelt, since I knew that it was going to go down as soon as I made it to the center of store. As soon as I got to the restaurant area, I noticed Lindsay Lohan making a quick attempt to avoid everyone. She sneaked between a few cars, but it was too late.

I opened the door to my car and got out. I got in attack mode and she came straight to me. I didn’t have to work hard for that one. She goes into the restaurant area of Fred Segal and I leave the alleyway in search of a parking space.

Paparazzi began to trickle in and it was soon becoming a gangbang. About one hour later, Lindsay finally comes out with another outfit on. She must have changed inside. What happened to the old clothing that she was wearing? Is it going to Goodwill or is it in that bag?

Well, I got plenty of shots; enough for a good strong set.

Later on, while the gangbang worked on Heidi Klum, Lindsay drives southbound on Robertson Blvd. towards the Ken Paves Salon. I must admit, I didn’t see Lindsay drive by since I was surrounded by paparazzi. I just noticed a few paps running to their car.

Well, after we finished Lindsay, we all went to the Ken Paves Salon. She was already inside and all we had to do was wait for her to come out. About three hours later, I switched my camera settings to nighttime-hunt-mode. Later on that night she finally came out. Initially, she was covering her face with a garment bag and we all began to ‘BOO’ her. I recall one paparazzo saying, “We have been waiting for hours already.”

I think she realized that she was being dumb and put down the garment bag. She was cool after that. We were hosing her so hard that she yells out, “I can’t see?” I then said, “Yup! That is right! Take that for making us wait that long.” Just kidding… I didn’t say that.

She finally made it to her car and as she was getting in, she flashed me her panties, she looked at me, and then she took off, after she waved to me.

OK.. OK… She waved at everyone and she showed everyone her panties.
