I Thought That I Was Going To Get Spit On!

A car pulls into the valet parking and this girl comes out of the driver’s side and yells out loud, “Quick, give me a valet ticket.” Once one of the valet attendants gives her one, she goes to the back door of her car, and she pulls out, with the help of her other friend, this totally wasted girl with her hair covering her face. I couldn’t make her out until the friends turned her around for an instant. Another paparazzo yells, Avril Lavigne, and the cameras start going off.
The friends did an excellent job in keeping her face completely covered as they went into the club. All I got were shots of Avril’s friend’s butt and a little of Avril’s ear. 
They also went to the very popular Hyde Lounge. I wonder if one of these days I will be able to sneak a peek. 
Well, at the end of the evening, Avril comes out even more plastered. I don’t think that she is going to remember what happened at the club the next day. Her friends were once again helping her stand-up and get into the car. This time though, I guess Avril was a little more of a dead weight that the friends forgot to cover her face. Yup! I got the shots.
Of course, she flipped everybody off as can be seen. Her other drunk friend takes the wheel and they were off.

Lead Singer For The Rock Band, Sugar Ray, Shows Us How To Dance!

The night started kinda slow. The first celebrity that showed up was the ex-lead singer for the rock band Sugar Ray. Yup! Our friend, or at least Melanie’s friend, Mark McGrath was also partying the night away at the trendy Hyde Lounge in West Hollywood.
He showed up and immediately began to greet everyone. He said hello to the paparazzi and even greeted these hippies that just happened to walk by. He was in a really jolly mood. It could have been that he found out that he wasn’t the father of Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter?
Well, he goes into the club. A few hours later at closing Mark comes out and he starts dancing in front of the cameras. Perhaps he got some lessons inside the club from the very own “Dancing with the Stars”, Cheryl Burke, who was also inside the club.
He waited for his car. Once his car arrived, he and his designated driver, a hot looking lady, drove off into the distance.

“Dancing With The Stars”, Cheryl Brooke, Celebrates Not Getting Kicked Off!

Today, Cheryl Burke celebrated her moving on to the next round on the hit reality show, “Dancing with the Stars”. Cheryl is currently dancing with NFL’s Emmitt Smith.
I guess to relieve a little bit of the stress, Cheryl decided that she was going to get wasted and so, decided to call a couple of her girlfriends; they headed out to the very trendy Hyde Lounge in West Hollywood.
Cheryl initially looked a little sad when she came out of the club, I guess she was just tired. Then she got her second wind and was loving the attention that she was getting from the paparazzi.
She gave us a few shots and then they departed. Maybe they were headed to another party? Who knows!
Sleep well Cheryl. You have a lot of work to do for the next round of “Dancing with the Stars”. I wish you and Emmitt well.

When I was growing up one of my favorite movies was “Iron Eagle”. Anyone out there know what I am talking about? A movie about fighter jets and Colonel Charles ‘Chappy’ Sinclair, played by today’s honorable mention Louis Gossett Jr. He does a rescue operation to save Doug’s father, an Air Force Pilot, who was shot down by MiGs belonging to a radical Middle Eastern state [aka, Iraq]; where no one, [meaning the US government], seems able to get him out. Doug finds Chappy who is intrigued by the idea of sending in two fighters piloted by himself and Doug to rescue Doug’s father after bombing the MiG base, where their only problems are borrowing two fighters, getting them from California to the Mediterranean without anyone noticing, and Doug’s inability to hit anything unless he has music playing.
Sorry ladies… It was a total guy flick. Wow! Those where movies… Ok… back to Louis Gossett Jr.
I found Louis Gossett Jr. in early January of this year at Cafe Med. He was having a business lunch with a few hombres. When he came out I complimented him on how well he looked, considering that he is 70 years old.
Then I asked him how he was doing, to which he cheerfully replied, “I’ve been doing great. I have been living in Malibu next to the beach where I get to relax and enjoy this wonderful weather.”
He asked me to excuse him for a little bit while he said bye to his business friends. He later came back; we talked about his older projects like Iron Eagle and his current projects. Then with a smile and a few photographs later, he waves goodbye.

Whatever happened to Dave Chappelle? Did he renew his contract to continue his show on Comedy Central or are they just playing re-runs? The last I saw or heard of Dave Chappelle was when I found him back in January of this year just before he went on the Oprah Show to talk about his troubles and his escape to Africa; or was that after? Huh!
Dave was really cool with me that day when I photographed him at Fred Segal in West Hollywood. I initially found him on San Vicente heading northbound with his little convertible car. I wasn’t sure whether he was going to give me shots so I kept passing him and pulling over way ahead of him so that I could get shots of him in his car with his friends. Well, anyways, somehow we ended up at the very trendy Fred Segal.
On a side note: Have any of you guys been to Fred Segal? I don’t understand why that store is so popular. I could buy the same stuff in East LA for a better price. I saw a pair of jeans for about $700 dollars. Wow! That is almost the same as taking a trip to Hawai’i. I personally rather go to Hawai’i than buy a pair of jeans… but that is just me. What do you guys think?
Well, anyways, Dave Chappelle parked and I followed. I parked across from him so that I could get shots of him getting out of his car. Dave did not see me, but I have a feeling that his friend did. So, I knocked off a couple of shots and they go into the store. I didn’t want anyone to spot me, so I went to the alley across the street from the store. I got out of my car and I went into the building with my long lens.
I guess Dave was not into the shopping thing since he came out for a cigarette right away. Almost as if he was giving me the shots. He was looking a bit stressed out. Maybe this is when he was having trouble with his show? Who knows? I took a couple of pictures from across the street. He then regrouped with his friends and they where on their way. I didn’t follow!
Well, Dave, I hope that you are doing well.

Matthew McConaughey & Lance Armstrong On A Tour De France (Part II)

Matthew comes out of the SUV and greets us with, “Buenos Dias.” I wonder what that means… Then he and Lance start to get ready by stretching and preparing their bikes for the ride.
As Matthew and Lance stand next to their bikes, Matthew says, “You guys are funny, they got a lot of the same shots in this one,” referring to the other paparazzi that were also present. “Unfortunately,” I yelled. Matthew then responds, “Unfortunately, now they are all beautiful shots,” referring to himself and Lance. Then I asked the pair, “How many miles are you guys doing”, Lance responds by saying, “200! It’s going to be a full day today.”
Enjoy the video of the dynamic duo.
By the way, has anyone seen videos of Lance and Matthew riding together?
