Out of Sight Media | A Day in the Life of the Paparazzi!

I was out on the street really early today. I was out no more than fifteen minutes when I spotted Nicole Richie as she arrived at Joan’s On Third restaurant to grab a bite to eat. She sat down in the front, like always, probably to attract paparazzi activity; to my surprise, no one came. She ate and ate as if she started to eat again. She had a giant sandwich, well, that is how big it probably looked to her. After about one hour, she got up and headed towards her car. I hosed her down as she walked to her car. She took off.

I decided to follow her today and I am really glad that I did. Initially I thought that she would head home since she headed in that general direction. She went down the paparazzi route and along the way picked up a few paparazzi. Before you knew it, there were a few paparazzi on the chase. She went to a local store somewhere on Melrose Avenue and parked. I initially didn’t think much of the place, but then I noticed him… Mr. New Age Chris Cringle.

I so hoped that she would get on his lap. Well, by the power of intention, I got my wish. Nicole not only got on his lap but straddled poor Santa Claus as she did the peace sign. The glare from the window was extremely horrible, but luckily I was able to knock off a few shots.

In a few days, after I sell the video, I might just show you. You guys have to let me know that you are out there reading by leaving some comments… I feel like a lonely voice… Am I?

I left the house at 4:00 PM in the afternoon. After all, I woke up at 2:00 PM. With a Britney Spears and Paris Hilton late night last night, my sleep was all out of whack. I noticed outside that it was getting dark. I had about one hour before the sun went down. I didn’t care, I was on a mission to find someone for you guys, so that I can post tomorrow’s story! I was out!

I headed to Robertson Blvd. for the late shoppers! Without a hitch, when I got there I noticed a gangbang in progress. It was Robertson Blvd. and it was fair game. I parked my car at the nearest space. I got my flash ready and I ran to store so I could get a couple of shots of her shopping. I actually had plenty of time since Eva Longoria was at that store for more than an hour. After an hour, I had too many shots. When she left, everyone blocked each other which made it very hard to get a clean fashion shot. Well, she went into the parking structure and I headed to my car.

I made a U-turn from where I was and I headed to the backstreets to get to 3rd St. Right when I got there, I spotted Eva Longoria as she made a right onto my street. I had no choice but to make a U-turn. Guess where she went?! Yup! She went to Robertson Blvd. Again!

She found parking in another parking lot! I again found parking and she went into a skin care place. Well, guess who was in the store next door? Penelope Cruz! She was shopping at Lisa Kline. I got a few shots before everyone else noticed. The security at Lisa Kline didn’t appreciate all the photographers, so they dropped all the curtains. I waited a few minutes and Penelope came out. I hosed her down before she got into her waiting car. She took off and I went back to Eva Longoria!

Not a bad day for only working for an hour and a half. My girl is so jealous!

I was on Melrose Place when I finished shooting Carmen Electra. I started to think and one thing didn’t make sense! Why were there already some paparazzi waiting when Carmen arrived? My spidey senses started to tingle and I started to look around. I had a feeling that they were already working on another story. No one said anything; there were some paparazzi that took off. As I walked slowly to my car, I finally noticed her car there. It was Courteney Cox!

I figured that she was getting some treatment for her skin at the very popular Kate Somerville Skin Care Salon, since she has been spotted there a few times before. The other paparazzi realized that I found their little secret. I played along and pretended to leave so that those that didn’t know would also leave. Soon only a few remained and we gathered to make prior shooting arrangements. We all agreed that we would shoot long. Well, that all changed after we waited over three hours for Courteney to come out. It was now dark and our plan changed. We all went short with flash. She finally came out!

She said to us, Not today. I look ugly today; some other day! She then covered her face with a piece of paper. We made an attempt to bargain with her. We told her that if she gave us a few shots by the stairs of the building that we would leave her alone. She refused! So we hosed!

I got plenty of shots; enough to make her contradict her character on her new show! She has a show coming out in January, which is about her being a photojournalist that will do anything to get the picture, yet she hates to be photographed?!

Earlier that night as Paris Hilton made her grand entrance to Hyde, Kim Kardashian came out of the club. I think that she was about to go home, but for some reason – maybe because Paris Hilton had now arrived? – Kim decided to go back into the club for Round Two. I was able to take a few pictures of her as she walked in and out.

Well, I had forgotten about Kim because Britney had arrived.

After Britney was in the door, I remembered that Kim Kardashian was around.

There is not much of a story here, other than that with all the commotion that Britney’s arrival to Hyde caused, I found Kim Kardashian in her car talking to her friend and making all kinds of facial expressions. When I got to the car to take pictures of her, I was able to capture some of them.

It was about 8:30 AM in the morning when I finished writing the last post about Britney Spears. It was a very long night. Since then I have re-read the story and realized that I didn’t make any sense with what I wrote, so I am going to retell the story of what happened.

It was late in the afternoon and I talked to everyone I know to find out information on the whereabouts of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. The last I had heard was that they partied late the night before and they were headed to Britney’s house in Malibu.

I heard that there were about forty guys waiting for the pair to leave, but they never did! Well, knowing that their sleep was all out of whack, I figured that they would go out that night. I knew that I would have a good opportunity to get a few pictures of the dynamic duo. I established communication with a friend that was door-stepping Britney and Paris at the house in Malibu. My friend was going to call me when they left the house. A few hours later, my phone rang and sure enough it was my friend telling me to get to Paris’ house ASAP and that Britney was on her way. Paris was already at home when I got there. She came home to get ready for the night ahead. I didn’t wait long before she came out. She modeled for us and then entered her car.

We followed her over to Hyde. There again, Paris made a grand entrance signing and modeling for the photographers. Paris went into Hyde and a few minutes later, she came out to let us know that Britney was on her way. Ok! She didn’t literally say that Britney was on her way, but she came out with her signature phone attached to her ear as she loudly spoke and gave directions to her friend. I knew that it was Britney since I also got a call from my friend who said that she was on her way.

A few minutes later, Britney made her super grand entrance. With the already forty guys waiting for her arrival and the forty guys who followed her, it felt like the biggest mob of paparazzi that I have ever seen. It was amazing! Britney came out of her car only to be greeted by Paris Hilton as she made her entrance. Later that night I headed over to Paris’ house since I knew that that is where they would end up. It was a few minutes past 2:30 AM and Britney arrived at the house. She was followed by everyone, even some fans from San Diego that decided to follow since “everyone else was following each other.” Britney did not drive because she was wasted. She stumbled everywhere!

It was about 3:30 AM and the music was super loud. A few paparazzi were still at the house when all of a sudden a police car showed up! The police office told us that he was getting complaints from neighbors about the noise. Then he said to us that we needed to leave because, according to him, we were to blame for the noise, but we weren’t loud. The stupid part was that it was hard to hear what he said because the music from Paris’ house was so loud. Once we started to walk away, the police office drove away without ever approaching the house with the loud party/music. Why is it that a celeb can disturb the peace without being bothered by police?

Last night I went out on a mission to get some shots of Britney Spears hanging out with Paris Hilton. I knew that they were going to be out and about since neither Britney nor Paris left from the house in Malibu. I knew it would happen, but I just didn’t know when. I called a couple of friends and finally at around 10:30 PM they told me to check out Paris Hilton’s house.

I was there in about 6 minutes since we are practically neighbors and I saw a few paparazzi hanging out at the house. Paris’ car was parked in the driveway and everyone was waiting for her to leave. Britney was nowhere to be found, but I new that after Paris Hilton left the house, they both would be heading to Hyde Lounge.

They were so predictable. After Paris left, all the paparazzi followed her to the club. A few minutes later, we heard Paris inside the club saying something like, “Where you at B’tch?” Then she gave directions to who I thought was Britney Spears. I knew she would go there too.

Shortly after Paris hung up, Britney made her grand entrance. She made a U-turn to enter through the front of the club. Normally, they leave from the back of the club, but this time she came out the front. I didn’t stick around for that and I went to Paris Hilton’s house to wait for Britney to show up.

When she did, she was plastered. They must serve some strong alcohol in that club. Ok… There is a lot more to this story, but I am so tired and I need to get to bed (I haven’t slept yet today). When I wake up at around 2:00 PM PST, I will add a few more posts of Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Nicky Hilton, and if you guys write a bunch of comments, I will throw in some Carmen Electra and Courteney Cox.

It was nearly dark, but I went through my route one more time. After all, my work day started close to 3:30 PM this afternoon when I went after Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton. It was already 4:15 PM, it was dark, and I had only been on the road for a few minutes. I went through Robertson Blvd. and to my surprise, I spotted Carmen Electra’s car parked at a parking meter.

I went around one more time to find parking; this is when I noticed a few paparazzi hiding behind their car. I got out of my car with my camera and flash and I approached them. I get along with all of them and they were cool that I was there. After all, it is Robertson Blvd. and nothing is exclusive on this street.

Well, the only thing that I didn’t know was which store she was in. Everyone hung around her car since, I assumed, that they didn’t know where she was either. They were waiting for Carmen to return for her car. Well, it didn’t take long before one of the guys spotted the store she was in.

We all crossed the street and conservatively started to hose her. It wasn’t extreme; we were all taking calculated shots. She came out of the store and since there were only five of us, she gave us plenty of shots. As we were about to cross the street, we all stopped to make sure we were safe from traffic. Then, after we made sure that the cars would stop for us, we started to shoot once again. I was able to get some clean shots. Carmen got into her car with an unidentified female companion and they took off. I went home after that. On the way home, I was thinking, “Not bad for a two hour day.”

I was still in bed at around 3:00 PM and my pap alert started to go off the hook. I wasn’t planning to work today, but I got motivated when my tipster told me that it was both Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton together at The Grove. I quickly got ready with my clothes from the previous night, got my camera bag, and I ran to my car.

Why was I still sleeping so late? Well, because the night before I was up working on all the material I got; I was syndicating all the pictures and videos from the previous night. I saw my girl go to bed, and then I saw her wake up at 8:30 AM; I went to bed around that time. I was so tired that I couldn’t sleep.

Well, I was off to The Grove. I went eastbound on Santa Monica Blvd. and then I made a right on Fairfax Blvd. Well, to my surprise, there was so much traffic. I wasn’t going anywhere… I was about to turn off the main street when suddenly I spotted both Nicole and Paris headed the opposite direction. Luckily, ahead of me, everyone got caught on a red light, which meant I had two clear lanes to bust a U-turn.

I started the follow. I was so late that I missed all the shots at The Grove. Well, to make a long story short. Paris drove very fast. I wasn’t alone on the chase. There were a bunch of paparazzi; one of them got pulled over. Paris dropped off Nicole Richie at her house, then she went to her house.

I was about to go home since it was getting dark. I decided to make one last pass through Robertson Blvd. As I drove, I noticed Eva Longoria’s car parked in front of Ken Paves Salon in West Hollywood.

I parked and I waited in my car. I wanted it to get darker since that is the signal for most paparazzi to go home. As I was in my car, I noticed about fifteen paparazzi drive by. It was shocking to see that no one found me. By the way, I wasn’t alone. One of my competitors was parked in front of the salon and another was parked behind her car. We were all doing the same thing, which was hiding in our car.

Finally, the sun was completely gone and we all came out to wait in front of the salon. We all had our flash on and we were ready for her grand exit. Well, we were there for about three hours standing in front of the door; then you add the time that we waited in our car for it to get dark. It was a really long time. We could barely tell that Ken Paves got some hair extensions ready for Eva. Every once in a while we could see Eva chatting away through a little hole in the wall. To make a long story short, Eva finally came out looking great in her purple outfit. Her hair extensions also blended in nicely.

I found Kimberly Stewart shortly after the gangbang on Third St. with Keanu Reeves. I was headed northbound on Robertson Blvd. and she was getting into her car. I realized that I just missed her shopping, but I pulled over anyway so that I could follow her.

She got into her car and headed northbound until Beverly Blvd., then she made a right. She kept going and going until we got to Fairfax Blvd. and this is where it got confusing. She made a right, then another right onto the first little street, and then she made a U-turn, a left on Fairfax Blvd, and then a right on Melrose Ave. Yup! She was driving normal. Yes! This is how she normally drives.

Well, we ended up at Platinum Motorsports where they add bling to any car. This place is kinda like West Coast Chopper, but for cars. She pulled into the parking lot and got out of her car. There were only three paparazzi, so we all agreed that we would shoot long to get cleaner shots.

She went in and out of the store as she talked to her friends and checked on her car. She was there to change the words “Range Rover” from the boring metallic finish to a diamond finish.

Well, she took off from this place and I let her go. A few minutes later, I checked out Robertson Blvd. again, and this time I again found Kimberly headed southbound. She pulled into this gas station on the corner of Third St. and Robertson Blvd. where she caused a paparazzi frenzy. She received a free hat from the Unical 76 clerk and then she pumped her own gas. She was cool with all of us being there. She gave us all the shots we needed.

I was on my route when I noticed Keanu Reeves’ car parked in front of Orso Restaurant on Third St. I also noticed a bunch of paparazzi claiming their area as they waited for Keanu to come out of the restaurant. I quickly found parking around the block. I got my camera with flash and I ran towards the restaurant.

When I got there, Keanu was still inside. I blended in with the paps and began to wait for him to come out. We all thought that he was going to exit through the front since his car was parked in front of the restaurant, but soon we discovered that the valet guy got into his car and drove it to the side door.

“Why was he making things difficult”, I thought in my head. Then all the paparazzi rushed to the side door where his car was moved to.

Keanu came out a few minutes later and he started to put his head down, so that no one could get a clean shot of him. He got into his car and took off.
