Out of Sight Media | A Day in the Life of the Paparazzi!

After working on an exclusive in Westwood, I headed back to West Hollywood. As I approached my route, I made a few phone calls. I found out right away that Victoria Beckham was shopping at the trendy Fred Segal. I really can’t figure out why people got there. Well, I made my way there.

When I got there, I went to a bak street to find parking since I knew that it was going to be a nightmare finding parking and I didn’t want to get a ticket for Victoria Beckham since she is probably going to go back to Fred Segal the next day. So I found parking and I got my short lens and I walked to the gangbang. When I got there, I realized that she was parked in the other parking area that meant that I was underlens. Besides that, I went to check out the situation to get a feel to see if it was even worth it.

After a few minutes there, I figured that it was going to be hard to do video if I shoot with my long lens, so I decided to just shoot stills with my long lens. I went for the long walk back to my car to leave my current short lens camera and pick up my second camera with the longer lens. I walked back. I was actually with an attitude of didn’t care if I got her today since I was probably going to see her tomorrow. Let me tell you now! I was glad that I decided to shoot.

When she came out of the store, I rushed in with my lond lens because I knew that everyone else was going to do the same and I was shocked when I saw her. She had blonde hair. I really was not expecting her to come out looking like that.

Do you guys like her new look? I think I like her better with dark hair.

I was driving around Beverly Hills because I went to check out a tip from a friend. Unfortunately, when I got there, I didn’t see anything happening or I just missed a story.

Well, so there I am going up and down the streets. Just as I had enough of Beverly Hills, I stumbled upon Brian Grazer walking along Rodeo Drive with this Date. Ok! Ok! They might not have been on a date since Brian is married with Gigi Levangie. Wait! Gigi Levangie filed for divorce according to IMDB! Huh!

So, It almost felt as if he was on a first date since he was walking around moving his hands back and forth as if he was a little nervous. I remember the good old days when I used to get nervous around women. Yup! I don’t anymore! Ok! I still feel nervous around my gorgeous girlfriend.

I was able to snap a few shots from where I was in my car. I was caught on a red light so it gave me plenty of time to get what I needed. Hey, I just noticed that the pictures I chose for this post have Brian with his arms crossed. Well, it was very cold and windy And he did act nervous!

Later on that day, I found Paris Hilton in Beverly Hills trying to loose the Paparazzi. She was taking every street in Beverly Hills and making U-turns. Everyone would follow so she had this 10 car entourage following her around. Luckily I found it just one block from where it was going to end. I waited at the gas station on the corner of Little Santa Monica.

Then I see Paris zooming by with her entourage, she makes a right heading towards Santa Monica Blvd and makes a U-turn into a valet parking garage. She comes out of her car and of course, we all followed. Some did not find parking and neither did I. I just left my car where it was at, in the middle of the road only blocking one lane of traffic.

I get my camera and off I go to capture Paris on her way to a Tanning Salon. Just before she got there, I had to pull off since I needed to move my car. I went to find parking on the side of the bank in an alley way across the street from where she was. The tanning salon was conveniently located next to Pinkberry. If some of you don’t know what it is, I am not the best source to tell you. I think they sell ice scream.

Well, about forty minutes later, she comes out and goes next door. I don’t think Paris realized that she cut in front of the line passing about 20 or so people that have been there waiting. Well, without a care in the world she orders and no one says anything. If she cut in front of me, I would have told her to get behind me. She would not cut in front of me no matter what. Ok… If she gave me a few hundreds then I would consider it.

She gets her to go ice scream and heads to her car. Well, she signs a few autographs for some kids and then gets into her car and speeds away.

By the way, I have been updating the server for this site and for my other site at BuzzFoto LLC. – An International Picture and Video Agency, so I must apologize for not updating this site in a few days. So, I decided to treat you all by placing a video so you can see how it really happened. I hope that you enjoy… By the way…, this story happened that day that I didn’t update this blog… Also, I hear that Britney Spears is suing all the Paparazzi Agencies that will or have published or syndicated pictures of her at any of her stays at the rehab center… Thank goodness that I was sleeping that day and will continue sleeping those days…

Victoria Beckham was up causing trouble again by heading down to some offices on Friday. I noticed all the paparazzi cars waiting for her to leave the offices, but I just continued driving. Luckily I did, because I found Rachel Stevens. She is not much and I will never sell her for as much as I would sell Victoria Beckham, but it was a nice break from the chaos of being in the gangbang.

Actually, I didn’t feel like dealing with any photographer in the business that day. After what they did to poor Britney Spears, I feel bad… NOT! But I really didn’t want to deal with any of them. I wanted something easier to deal with. Besides, I rather buy pictures from one of the guys already there. By the way, for those Photographers that actually read this blog, Buzz Foto is buying pictures!

So, I followed Rachel Stevens and unfortunately for me, she was heading straight to where the dog pack was. I was hoping that Rachel was such a small fish compared to Posh Spice that none would leave their post. Well, only the British photographers did? They made a U-turn and we both followed her to the Coffee Bean. I don’t mine working with some British photographers because they keep their cool when hosing down a celebrity. Well, she gets two Frappuccinos and then gets into her car. I asked her who the second drink was for and she just smiled. We both let her go!

Later, about 10 minutes later, I found her at a Starbucks sitting down with some dude. They were sharing a drink. They smiled for the camera. I took off after she left.

It was a long follow. She never knew that I was behind them all along. It all started as I was making my normal route through the streets of West Hollywood. I was heading eastbound on Santa Monica Blvd and to my surprise; Jessica Simpson was literally right next to me in her blacked out SUV. I have never seen her SUV and since the tint was so dark, it took me a while to verify that it was her.

She makes a right on La Cienega Blvd heading straight into the sharks den. Luckily since it was raining, no paparazzo’s jumped my story then. She makes a left on Third St and I continue to worry that I was going to get jumped. She pulls over at a little tea place on that street but she doesn’t get out. Her assistant was doing all the dirty work of getting out. I don’t even know if her assistant bought anything since she came out very quickly.

The follow was on again. We were still heading eastbound on Third St and then she decides to make a left on Fairfax Blvd. I was still behind her and yes! That turn that she did was illegal. Where are the cops when you need them? We were now heading northbound. We get to Melrose Ave and guess what she does? Yup! She was driving every major paparazzi street, and then she complains that she wants to have her privacy? Give me a break! I was actually surprised that we didn’t get jumped.

Well, she pulls into Fred Segal but she doesn’t stop. She went in and out of the alley way. She made a left once again on Melrose Ave. Finally after following her through a few more streets, we ended up on Sunset Blvd.

She pulls into a metered parking space right off Sunset Blvd a few paces from Le Petit Four. I was able to find parking right in front of the restaurant and I waited for her assistant to feed the meter. Jessica finally comes out of her car and I hosed her clean. She smiled and everything for me. Her assistant was a little rude to me though. What does she expect? She drove through five major paparazzi streets. I was surprised that I was exclusive.

It was already dark last night and I was heading home on Sunset Blvd. I was heading eastbound and it was very hard to make spots anymore. Well, out of the corner of my eye I got a quick glance of this girl. My Spidey Sense where going off the scale. She just looked so familiar that I had to follow her. There was so much traffic that it made it really hard for me to turn around. Fifteen cars later, I was able to make a U-turn.

I had no visual on her car, but I figured that she was still in front of me and I didn’t loose hope. Soon, I found myself only three cars behind her and I was in a good position to follow. I didn’t want to waste my time so I had to verify that it was her. We got caught a few blocks down on a red light. I pulled into the left turning lane so that I could be right next to her. I looked in her car. Luckily she pulls down the visor and a light comes on in her car. Yup! It is her. Alicia Silverstone was looking very plain and she was heading in my direction.

The light turned green and I got behind her. It was so dark that she never knew that I was behind her. I was wishing to the pap gods that she go do something and not go home. Well, we passed Beverly Glen Ave. and we just kept on going. She gets into the left turning lane and I followed.

We were once again caught on another red light. Well, the light turned green and we made a left along with many other cars. It was easy! I was just hoping that she went to take some night classes at UCLA. Well, she ended going into this parking structure and I parked in the emergency vehicle parking space. I figured that it was an emergency. I get my camera and I run to look for her in the structure. Well, to make a long story short. I found her and she smiled for me.

She was cool considering that I came out of nowhere to hose her down and it was night time. I guess she could have pulled a Britney and be scared, but she wasn’t. She moved up to my cool celebs list after that.

I was parked on Robertson Blvd in the loading section. You can say that I was right in front of the Newsroom. I was there simply because that’s were I take care of a basic need. I get out of my car and I went inside the Newsroom. I looked around as I went all the way to the back of the restaurant for any familiar faces. I didn’t see anyone on the way in, so I decided to go check out this little room that they have in the back.

Yup! No one was there either. Huh! I washed my hands because I believe that hygiene is very important and I walked out of the little room. This was my second look at the restaurant. Sometimes on the way in, it is hard to see the people facing away from you, so that is why you have to double back so that you can see everyone. Sure enough! There she was! I went outside to wait. Since my car was in the loading zone, I just got my camera ready and I left it inside the car so that I didn’t alert any of the paparazzi that were waiting in front of the Ivy.

After a few minutes she comes out. I followed her and took some pictures of her until she got to Kitson Men. She went into the store and started to look around. I was able to knock off a couple of frames before the video guys made it over. I was still the only one shooting stills.

She comes out of the store and guess what she did. She walked all the way passed the paparazzi that were next to the Ivy. There goes my short lived exclusive. Well, it was fun. She was playing hard to get. Can you guess who she is?

I was heading northbound on Doheny Drive and I found Willem Dafoe heading the opposite direction. It was so hard to make a U-turn since it was rush hour. Well, at least it felt like it was that time.

The traffic died down just enough to allow me to make the U-turn. I lost visual but I knew that he was in front of me by ten or so cars. I didn’t loose hope of finding him. Little by little cars started making right turns and some left turns as we crossed streets. Suddenly, I could see his car in the distance. He was about four cars away from me now. We passed Burton Way and we were outside the paparazzi territory. I started to relax and I started to take my time. We kept driving southbound and then he makes a right on a residential street.

He parked next to an alley way but he didn’t go in. I did however go into the alley way so that I don’t become obvious that I was about to hose him down. He gets out of his car for a second, walks to the back of his car and starts to inspect it. It was weird what he was doing. He was acting as if the car was making noises and he wanted to figure out what it was.

He found nothing and went back into his car. This is when I got a business call that I had to take and so I decided to let him go. He made a right on the next street and I just went back to my car.

Hey, sorry about not posting a blog post yesterday. I was really tired when I finally went to bed at five o’clock in the morning. I was working on some video edits that some of our photographers sent to me. It was a lot of work. Well, If you guys have any pictures that you would like BuzzFoto LLC, my agency, to syndicate (distribute and sell around the world), please let me know. Ok… so here is yesterday’s catch of the day…

I was heading eastbound on Third St. and I once I got to Robertson Blvd I noticed David Spade about to make a right on to Robertson Blvd to head northbound. By then I had already passed the left turn on Robertson Blvd and I decided to cut across the gas station right on the corner.

There was no-one making a right behind David Spade and so I quickly caught up to him. The street was vacant from paparazzi; they must have been working on Britney at the rehad center since there was no one in sight. We passed the Ivy restaurant and finally once we passed the Newsroom, David pulls into the same driveway that he did a few days ago on Valentine’s Day.

I couldn’t find parking and I had to make a right turn on Beverly Blvd. I was able to park on a loading zone and I got my camera and I ran to meet David. Luckily he takes his time getting out of his car and I got there just in time to witness that. He approaches me and we start to chat. Following will be the video from that day…

After we were done talking, David starts to walk away. I yell out, “How about an over the shoulder from way over there?” The funny thing about what I said was that you typically only ask women to do that. Well, David being the comedian that he is makes a gun symbol with his hand and pretends to shoot me, which was very good on his part!

We took the back streets and we ended finally in a street that I know very well, we were on La Cienega Blvd heading northbound. Lindsay Lohan was in front of her driver with the sporty car and her driver was driving solo behind her. I was a few cars behind and I really don’t think that they new that I was following them.

I was doing it old school style. We made it to Santa Monica Blvd and they got on the left turning lane of La Cienega Blvd. That is were we got caught at the light. I was still two cars behind and my car definately does not look like a pap car. For one, the car that I was driving was not my own but my girl’s car. It has no tinted windows and it look more normal. The light turned green and I continued to follow. A few lights and streets later I found them making a U-turn. The streets were somewhat empty and it was really easy for all of us to make it without stopping. Then they turned on a little street called Huntley St or something like that.

I knew that they were heading straight to a yogurt and ice cream place called Pinkberry. Have you ever heard of it? Well, the workers were real A*&holes. Lindsay was giving me shots as she entered the store, then this little pimple faced kid who works at this place starts to block my shots. What nerve? I took a few steps back and I got her on video. Well, she finally gets her order and comes out. Once again, she gave me the shots.

Some people just don’t understand the relationship that photographers have with celebrities, after all, they knew that I was going to be around before they got involved with this business. So please don’t get in the way. If you don’t know what that relationship is the I will educate you – If you want to be famous, you will get photographed. If you don’t like that, then don’t get in the business. Period!

I was busy all day running errands… I had to postmark an envelope today with a ticket that I got in Hawaii while driving around on a 15 mile per hour zone, apparently they caught me flying at 27 miles per hour. I was very upset since I didn’t even drink that night. There was a cyclist that was going faster than I was in the same street heading in the same direction. I asked the officer why he did not pull over the bike since he is considered a motorist. The officer ignored my question and because of it, I am fighting it. Wish me luck! Well, in other words, I was running errands all day and by the time I finished all my errands, it was getting close to 4:00 PM. I felt that I missed out on a day of fun, a day of capturing celebs in my camera frame. I do love my job.

My pap alert goes off. I get a tip that Lindsay was at Fred Segal shopping. If I remember correctly, I was on Doheny Drive heading northbound when the call came in. I had to go up to Sunset Blvd and make a right so that I could head eastbound. I then took Holloway and then I took some backstreets. By the way, please spread the word about this site… Well, only if you like it. I finally made it to Fred Segal and I only found one team there. I don’t even know who they work for. I found parking and I got my short lens camera ready.

I went to talk to the fellow paparazzo’s that were already there and they were very cool. Well, Lindsay comes out shortly after dark with a male friend and her driver. It was so easy that we didn’t even need to monster her. This is how it happened… She was coming down the stairs from the second floor. The driver then asked us if we could give her some room so that she could get ready for us. We all said, “Sure!” Lindsay then fixes her outfit with a last minute check, and then she continues to walk down the stairs.

She gave us some shots. She even flashed the peace sign at us before she made it into her car. Well, she got in and then drove off. I quickly ran to my car for the follow. Very carefully, I followed Lindsay to our next destination.

My girl and I were fixing up our office by adding a new desk that could support her computer and give us more storage room. All of a sudden, I get a call on my Pap Alert from my friend. It was about 12:31 AM and he told me that Keifer Sutherland was at Dominic’s Restaurant which is right next to Guys Club in West Hollywood.

I finish up what I am doing and I get my camera ready. I give my girl a goodbye kiss and off I go. As soon as I stepped out of the house I noticed all the streets were wet. I was confused since it was a gorgeous day that we just had. Why would it rain? Well, I kept on going to my car. I get in and turned it on. I waited for a minute to let the engine stabilize and off I go.

There was no one on the streets of West Hollywood. It was about 1:00 AM by now and it seems that no one went out to party tonight. I was hoping that Keifer hadn’t left in the time that I finished getting my office ready.

I finally made it there 10 minutes later. Luckily I live really close to all the action. I found parking and I went to stand by the door. The valet parkers started to stare at me, and finally one of them came up to me to ask me the most common question, “Who is in there?” I started to relax since there have been quite a few attacks on paparazzi in the past few months. I told them, “Keifer Sutherland!” Then one of them says, “Isn’t that the guy from 24?” I responded with a quick “Yeah!”

I then spotted a driver who was standing next to his car. I went up to him and I asked him flat out, “Are you driving Keifer Sutherland?” He responded, “Yes, I am!”, this confirmed that my tip was legit. I started to wait and to make a long story short, Keifer comes out smiling holding the hand of a nice looking girl. He took the time to autograph some pictures and I was able to capture a good story with only 12 picture. I didn’t need to hose since I was exclusive. I was actually quite surprised how nice he was. He suddenly jumped to one of my favorite celebs because of that.

By the way, he was wearing an Iron Workers jacket which I thought was pretty cool. He opened the door for his girl and then went around to the other side of the limo. He got in and off they went.
