Alexia Starchild Gets Coffee From Urth Cafe, Photography by Henry Flores

Today I found myself having an amazing interview with the Swedish National Broadcasting Corporation. After our two hour interview, we headed to the streets. It was already late but I was determined to find anyone. The sun was starting to come down and I only had one hour to go. The video crew was in my car and I was getting nervous. I needed to come through and show them that I could. To make matter worst, I felt that it was about to rain. I went up and down all the transition streets in my route and I ended up on Melrose Avenue. There is when I spotted Alexia Starchild walking towards the cafe. It was dark and I was surprised that I was able to get some shots and for some amazing coincidence, the Swedes knew her. It was win, win.

Dave Grohl Says To Me, “Make Your Money, Man! Make Your Money!”

Dave Grohl, lead vocalist for the Foo Fighters and former drummer for Nirvana, heads into The Troubador Nightclub and was so exited to see me that he ran to me with a thumbs up saying, “Make your money, man! Make your money!”
I went to work today driving around a news reporter for the very prestigious Belgium newspaper, De Standaard (http://www.standaard.be). I was showing him the ropes to being a true paparazzo. The weather was not really working in our favor since California celebrities are very finicky about cold weather. The streets were dead and no other paparazzi were in sight. We kept driving the route and I made a promise to the reporter that it is very rare that I don’t find a celebrity before finishing one circle of my route. It was getting dark and I was starting to get nervous because I was one street away from completing my circle and route, when all of a sudden, Dave Grohl shows up.

Every once in a while, a photographer can get lucky and get an amazing fine art shot. I found Carla Gugino about to park on Beverly Blvd in Beverly Hills. She was waiting for a car to back out of a parking space and I started to envision the shots and where she was going to walk. I started to look for a parking space and I found one just down the road. I parked quickly, grabbed my bag and waited. I figured that she was going to walk in my direction since the only thing around were shops and Urth Cafe. I ducked down to get a better angle and waited.
She started to walk in my direction and I waited as she was talking on her phone looking down. I waited and waited and finally she looked up. I took a few photos and I had my shots. I waited for her to come back and I approached her. I said hello. I saw her a few months ago at the premiere of Teenage Paparazzo by Adrian Grenier. She was having lunch with her husband and I was almost sitting next to her with my wife. Well, we talked and I gave her my business card and I hope she calls.

I received a call from Caroline D’Amore and she was exited on the phone. She told me that her online store at D’Amore Swim, was finally opened and she wanted to celebrate and do a little promotion at the same time. To celebrate her achievement, we decided to meet in Santa Monica, California for a bikini shoot. When we got there, we started to look around for the perfect location and we quickly found it. Then she began to strip down to her bikini and she looked amazing. I couldn’t take one bad photo.

Ali Larter Goes Shopping For Baby Clothes and Looks Amazing Doing It

After having a very important meeting for me near LAX, I decided to come out of retirement for the day and headed to West Hollywood, California to do my route. Within 10 minutes of being in my route, I found Dr. Phil. He was driving on Melrose Ave, near Urth Cafe. However, there was too much traffic heading the opposite direction and I couldn’t make a safe U-turn so I let him go. After that, I decided to head into Beverly Hills and that is when I found her. She was already getting the hosedown by some photographers on the street. I was on the opposite side of the traffic and I stopped traffic for a second to take a picture. There was already a lot of traffic so no one really noticed.
I then pulled over and I followed her once she made a U-Turn heading in my direction, just as I had planned. I wasn’t the only one. The guys that were getting her earlier, I guess they didn’t get there cameras in focus cause they had to follow her again for a few more shots. She didn’t go too far. She found parking just like all celebrities that I have ever followed, that is fast. I struggled to find parking but as soon as I did, I knew what I had to do. I grabbed my camera and I made a run for it. She was feeding her parking meter by the time I got there. The other guys were already in position and I didn’t mind them at all. I was able to get these great shots. After that, the other guys followed again. I decided to go elsewhere, my shots were good enough.

I was checking out my twitter account @henryflores and I noticed that Caroline D’Amore just tweeted that she was going to do a photo shoot for her clothing line. The funny thing was that I was close to the beach in Santa Monica as I was running an errand there, so I headed to the beach as I have always had luck there. To my surprise and my luck, I noticed this good looking girl, who looked like Caroline D’Amore, in the distance getting photographed. I pulled out my long lens and took one picture. I looked at the my camera and zoomed into my picture, only to realize that I hit the jackpot.

Caroline was modeling her Vintage wave print bandana bikini when I started to take pictures. Everything was perfect. The marry-go round and the pier roller coaster were in the background, the sun was at the right position and reflection of the wet sand, made for beautiful pictures. I couldn’t stop taking pictures. I eventually went to talk to Caroline D’Amore, as I have seen her a few times before. She was really cool with me and told me that she was launching her online store on Wednesday of this week. Her online store is D’Amore Swim (http://www.damoreswim.com). Her photographer was ready changing the memory card and she carried on modeling. I carried on taking pictures.

Caroline D’Amore and the photographer went back to their car and I thought that was the end of the shoot. I sat back on the beach and waited for a bit and then realized that it wasn’t over. She was changing into another outfit. She came out of the car wearing a gorgeous vintage ocean teal bandanna bikini. I got a little close and realized that they were getting a bike from the bike rack on their car. I was feeling a bit excited as I was going to get another opportunity for a few more photos.

She got on the bike and started to cruise. Everything was once again perfect. You cannot beat taking pictures of a good looking girl, who is wearing a bikini, riding a bike on a gorgeous sunny California day. She did that for a few minutes and eventually got off the bike. She was going to then model the bikini standing up. I repositioned myself for a better angle. She walked straight to me. Well, she walked straight to her photographer, but I couldn’t help but visualize that she was walking straight to me as that is the way I was seeing it through my lens. After a short time, it was done. She was packing to go home and I thanked them for the shots. Marisa Sundari on Fine Art Photoshoot with Henry Flores
Here is a sneak peak of never before seen photographs of the very talented model and actress, Marisa Sundari. While in Hawaii last year, I had the awesome opportunity to photograph Marisa Sundari on a Custom Chopper Motorcycle. It all started as casual as Hawaii can be. We started to walk the beach area hoping to take pictures with a hotel as a backdrop, but the light was too harsh facing that direction. We then found this water break built into the ocean kinda like a peer built with rocks. We noticed a few surfers walking on the rocks to get into the deep water. Marisa and I decided to give it a try. We took some great photos there and little did we know that we had an audience, including this motorcycle gang, which had already set up there choppers waiting for our return. As soon as we started to head back into land, one of the locals asks me if I would like to photograph Marisa on the bike. One look at the bike and we said, yes. This was the moment that we were waiting for. This concluded our shoot for the day. What do you think?

While heading up Mulholland Drive, I noticed in the distance this woman who had an excellent running stride. She was kicking ass going up hill. As I approached in my car, I couldn’t believe my eyes, it was Deal or No Deal Super Model, Katie Cleary. She was looking amazing and I couldn’t pass the opportunity to take a few pictures. I positioned my car on a driveway up the road and I waited for her to zoom by. She was running fast and the poor little dog was with his tongue out gasping for air. He was a cute dog for sure. Just as she gets close, I take a few.
