EXCLUSIVE: Back In The Days, Ricky Martin Showed Up For Coffee On Robertson Blvd!
It was so long ago that it is hard to remember what the heck I was doing at Robertson Blvd nighttime. I didn’t work night times then, I only worked in the mornings on my way to work.
Yup! I used to be an employee like most …
of the people that read this blog. I used to be an Electronics Design Engineer… Ok! How many of you did I put to sleep by mentioning what I used to do? Well, I was coming home from work at around 8:00 PM. I stopped to see what was going on at Robertson Blvd.
There I noticed Ricky Martin wearing a beanie and chatting with some friends as he was waiting in line to order coffee. Well, it was certainly a learning experience. I initially shot him through the window without flash. Then as he made his way out of the coffee shop, I turned on my flash and I killed it. I was completely an amateur when it came to shooting with flash.
Well, this was one of many shots that I killed in my learning process. This was before 1000 paparazzi were out on the street so it was actually exclusive. I don’t think that the agency that I was with at the time didn’t sell any of the shots. Well, at least, I never got paid for it.
I am glad that I am part owner of a company now, I could control my own sales and make sure that my photographers and I are getting paid. My company is at least a lot more honest than what I have experienced.
