Would You Guys Like To See My Iconic Archive Shots From My Past?

Posted on March 10th, 2007 in Henry Flores by admin

OK Readers!

I want you guys to come back everyday and to make this website one of your favorites. So, I am asking for your honest feedback. In order to make it one of your favorites, what would you like to see on this website? Please Note: I will only post my own material and I cannot go after Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton and Lindsay Lohan everyday. I get celebs as I find them on the street. I don’t do doorsteps (that means that I do not sit on a Celeb’s Home waiting for a photo opportunity)! I get too bored with that. :)

So, I am proposing to show you some of my Iconic Archive Material from my past, even on days when I don’t find celebs on the day of the post.

Would you guys like to see pictures from my past? Would you guys like to see my first blurry shot, the first celeb that gave me the finger, the first time I was in a situation with a celeb which actually taught me my rights as a photojournalist (Paparazzi)? etc…

Well, this is what I am planning on doing! Tell me what you think?

I just came across your site … just went & looked throught the archives back to october … it’s interesting seeing the business from a photographers point of view … especially when paparazzi are so often vilified but you seem to have a sense of morals … I live in L.A & often see the bad side of the ‘paparazzi’ but you seem to be pretty considerate & charming … Keep up the good work …

p.s – I think it’s great you don’t camp out on celebs doorsteps … I live in a well known building on Doheny Rd thats constantly got the paparazzi outside annoying the doormen!

Great site!!! I’ve been following it for the past couple months and think it’s the best. Very straight forward and informative. I particularly like your descriptions of how you get the shots, everything from selection of lenses, distances and the routes you take. Keep up the good work and I’ll be back daily ….

Yes, I’d love to see some of your older material & hear those stories. Love your site, and the fact that you seem to try to be considerate of the celebrities you’re photographing.

Yes please! The “stars” of today are dull as dirt.

Seeing the older photo’s you have taken would be interesting as would yourself describing your experiences as a paparazzi photographer.

i like your site. good photos. but i can’t stand how snotty you are when the celebs hide. i think photogs should be thankful when they get a good shot, and understanding when the celebs want some privacy. most of them have to live in la/hollywood for their jobs, and it would be really lame if they can’t eat where they want to (like the ivy) because they will be “hosed” if they do. i hate people say, “they shouldn’t go there if they don’t want to be hosed” because they have a right to go where they want, and a right to privacy. it seems like most of the time they are fine getting shots, so why complain so much when they hide every once in awhile?

Yes show the pictures old and new. But also give us the dirt. Who’s doing what, who hangs out with who, who’s on drugs/ etc.

This is an incredibly interesting site. I especially love all your old school/new school analysis.Do you think new skills – rather more pushy skills – are now required to do the job and is this saddening you?
And insights into which shots are newsworthy and which aren’t and why are very interesting. Plus, would love to hear more about the ‘game’ played with you by celebs. We generally just see the shots, so it’s very interesting to find out that some celebs actually go to places where they know they’ll find paparazzi, and construct situations to give you shots, and that some are deliberately obstructive and that some pretend to be coy, but actually want to be photographed anyway. Yes, all the ‘dirt’ would be great too. Who do you like, who do you not like, and why? Who is your ultimate favourite to photograph and who the most obnoxious?
Also, and I’ve always wondered about this, do you think some celebs are paid to do product placement by companies like Starbucks etc to be photographed with their products?
Sorry, this sounds like an interview, but the fascinating thing about your site are all these little details – the things that only you would know. It’s interesting to see the pictures that you are really pleased with and the pictures you and not pleased with. For example what is your best all time picture/exclusive and what is your ultimate missed shot – the one that got away?
Anyhow – thank you once again… and keep up the amazing work – thank you!

Realise I didn’t answer the question! Would love to see the iconic archive shots… Your first few shots would be really interesting, plus the first one that ever made you money. And all the others which are of note or have a story to tell….
    Keep ‘em coming!

I would like to know how you got into the “papparazzi” business. Do you ever feel like you are invading people’s privacy like when they are shopping or eating or stuff like that?!! I couldnt do it!! Id be interested in seeing your archives. I like your site cuz you tell us what was happening when you got the shot and narrate for us. Instead of putting people down like ALL other sites!! Thanks Henry!! You are awesome!!

    Rock Hard!!
