Patrick Dempsey Leaving At The Perfect Time
I was about to go home that day. I was running errand all over Beverly Hills and I was feeling a bit tired. I had a very important business lunch with my business partner. We were as usual having a discussion of the global domination plans for BuzzFoto. I usually backtrack when I head home using mayor transition streets to place myself if locations highly traveled by celebrities… Let’s just say that I wanted to find someone before I actually made it home. Then there it was… Patrick Dempsey’s black and orange Porsche. It was parked in front of the L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Well, I wasn’t one hundred percent certain that it was his because I have never seen him drive it in real life. I’ve only seen it in our competitors websites when they display a video of Patrick driving away. You know… You have seen those videos too…
I was heading eastbound and I made a U-turn at the nearest intersection. I found parking right away and I started to wait. And Wait… And Wait… Nothing… By this time too much time had passes and the valet decided to drive his car into the underground parking and so I lost visual on the car, but I continued to wait. And Wait… And Wait… Nothing…
After two sold hours of waiting,
I was really feeling disappointed and discouraged that I decided to drive away. I figured that I was already in Downtown Beverly Hills so I figured that I do my Beverly Hills Route just in case I see anyone else… Nothing… I had no luck and I was really going to call it quits…
I started to back track again. I decided to drive past that hotel just in case. I was now heading eastbound on Burton Way. Just as I was driving past the hotel… Guess what?
There he was. He was coming out of the hotel… Lucky for me, his car was not there since the valet had initially moved it into the underground parking so he had to wait. As everyone knows, when you are heading eastbound you cannot make a U-turn right away because of a giant island divider, so I had to go all the way to the light one block away to make a legal U-turn.
Of Course, I had to wait for the red light to turn green. Everything was starting to factor in delaying me… Why is it that when you are in a hurry, everything gets in the way?
The light turned green and I finally made my U-turn. I eventually made it to the hotel and I found parking. I actually found the same parking spot which I was in earlier. I grabbed by short lens with flash because I wasn’t going to have enough time to prepare and I ran towards the hotel. Just in that moment, I see the Porsche emerge from the underground parking. I was not only racing the sun going down, I was racing, the Porsche, Patrick Dempsey, and my camera settings.
He sees the car… I see him… The valet people see me… His friend sees me… He had no choice… He smiled… I hosed him down… He got into his car… He took off… I took off… The valet people were stunned and frozen in time wondering what just happened.
But I got this amazing shot. Well, I am really proud of it.
